New Years Resolutions

As I am reflecting upon all the things I have been able to accomplish with my small business in 2021 I wonder what can I do better in 2022?  Any suggestions you have please feel free to reply to this email and let me know.  I am always open to new ideas.

As a result of my reflection I came up with the following on things that I am going to work on in 2022.

1.  Continue to give back to both my online and local community.

2.  Post 2 TikToK videos a day making sure to include one that is informative to my TikTok Channel.

3.  Send informative emails weekly along with special offers.

4.  Increase my Blog postings.

Please follow along with my journey on completing these goals by joining my TikTok (@simpletreasuresforsale), blog (simpletreasuresforsaleblog.wordpress.com), & Facebook Busienss Page (@simpletreasuresforsale).

Don’t Be A Shipageddon Victim

What’s Shipageddon?  Shipageddon is when the shipping carriers get overloaded which causes delays.  We experienced it in 2020 and it is expected to return for this holiday season due to an employee shortage.

What does this mean for you?  It means that if your planning on ordering your holiday packages at the last minute they more than likely will not arrive in time.  In order to get around this you might be considering purchasing locally at the last minute.  This isn’t going to work either because the stores are having the issue.  Their stock won’t be arriving on time either therefore making your instore options limited.

What’s your best course of action?  Order early.  Money an issue?  Try spreading out our holiday shopping out over the a few weeks but still order early.  Don’t wait till the last minute.

As an incentive to do your shopping early I am offering free shipping plus a free mystery gift with your order. No minimum order required. Use discount code Shipageddon expires 11/25/21. (US customers only)

National Radio Day

Each year on August 20th, National Radio Day recognizes the great invention of the radio. Celebrate the news, information, music, and stories carried across the airwaves.

Several inventors had a part in the invention of the radio in the late 1800s. Amazingly, not just one person can be credited with its beginning. Instead, each component developed through invention and discovery. As these technologies converged, the radio came to life.

To celebrate National Radio Day, I want to give special recognition to my favorite radio personality and friend.   Red Hot Brian Scott is currently on Peoria’s Z92.3 and hosts Brian & the Morning Grind.  Red Hot Brian Scott has had a longtime career in radio he has made his way from Atlanta, Georgia to Birmingham, Alabama to Mobile, Alabama to Pensacola, Florida to Quad Cities Iowa, Waterloo Iowa & Galesburg, Illinois.

When I met Brian he was part of a very popular morning show in Davenport, Iowa called Red Hot and Tony Tone.  At the time they did several remote radio gigs and it was a weekly Friday event at a Quad City Club that I first came across the wacky duo in person.   Over the years I have followed Brian’s career and am proud to consider him a friend.  Brian has provided millions with the much needed escape from life just by being his normal wacky self.

Brian has a real passion for music and combined with his natural hustle he is a rockstar at anything he does.   He is a great performer combined with a brilliant marketer.  When he isn’t entertaining everyone on the radio waves he is entertaining people in person by performing in his band Bad Hair which is an 80’s retro band.

If your interested in checking him out he can be heard on Z92.3 from 5:45am-10am each weekday morning at https://www.z923peoria.com/red-hot-brian-scott.

I TRIED MOTTO

Over the last few years I have become comfortable with an I Tried Motto.  I find that it is better to try than it is not to try.  You never know what you can do until you try.  If someone would have told me a few years ago that I would have an online business that provides people from all over the United States and United Kingdom with their favorite beauty products at discounted prices I would have told you were crazy.  Until I tried I had no clue that I could do that on my own.   Over and over I keep trying things that are not in my comfort zone but because I believe in my business I keep trying.  Sometimes things work out like I want and sometimes they don’t. When things don’t work out I don’t count that as a failure.   I just keep moving forward in a different direction and try something else.  I do my best to learn from my mistakes and keep learning as much as I can.

The moral to this story is you never know what you can do until you try. If it doesn’t work out try another way.

Good Hair Care Tips

It’s normal to lose 100 to 150 strands of hair a day so don’t panic when you see a small bunch crawling across your floor.
Trim your hair every few weeks to get rid of those brown and rough split ends. Cut about 1/4th an inch of your hair every 6 to 8 weeks to avoid the split ends to grow out again.

Every men women’s dream is to have hairs of golden strings but unfortunately for most of them it becomes just a dream because of some carelessness.
Here are some of basic hair care tips:

  • Blast Out Your Dry Shampoo

Using dry shampoo is a seemingly simple process. You take your hair, spray it in at the roots to soak up any grease and oil, and then you walk around with a totally refreshed look.
·WASH WITH LUKEWARM WATER Scalding showers may feel relaxing, but if you’re being real with yourself, they aren’t worth it. That almost-too-hot-to-touch water can actually strip your hair of essential oils, which can leave it feeling drier and looking duller.

  • Use Hair Masks Before Working Out

If you apply [a mask] before your workout, the ingredients push moisture into your strands and seal it in before the salt has a chance to dry your hair out,”
·DON’T Dry OFF USING A TOWEL A towel totally seems like the obvious way to remove excess water and start drying your hair post-shower, but it may not be what’s best.·PROTECT HAIR BEFORE HEAT STYLING We all love how our hair looks after a blowout or heat styling session, but excessive heat styling can do a number on your hair. While we wouldn’t expect you to part with your hot tools completely, it is a must to make one small adjustment when you’re using heat to style.

  • Don’t Use Shampoo So Often

If you’re using shampoo every time you shower, stop what you’re doing immediately.
A Secret to have some natural shining hairs:
Take some almond oil, coconut oil, hair conditioner, 250 ml water and a small empty spray bottle. Pour 200 ml of water in the spray bottle and add 2-3 drops of coconut and 4 to 5 almond oil to it. Add two really tiny drops of conditioner. Don’t use too much of it because it will lather. You can add lavender or some nice smelling oil if you’d like. Add the remaining water and shake well. Let the lather settle and it’s ready for use.
